Great day!
I know. You may be a bit shocked now. Hopefully you’ve picked yourself up off the floor and realized that yes, I really have done two posts in two days. There’s good reason behind it though. Well, more than just the fact that I actually enjoy the release blogging brings me and I’d like to do it more for my own selfish reasons. I’m also writing again today because it was one of my favorite days of the year. Even though the day seemed to drag on longer than a dance recital (you know what I mean), the best part was when I left work to grab some lunch and I had to roll down my window because it was too warm in the car. There is just something about being able to roll down your window again without having your ear freeze off or seeing your own breath. I’m not sure what the temperature was, but it was warm enough to roll down the window and that’s all that matters. It was sweet bliss to feel the breeze against my hairless head, crank up some tunes and enjoy the time that was available before it inevitably snows again. Probably tomorrow.

Quick update
So Jess is off with her mom, sister and sister-in-law scrapbooking something together and I just got the kids down to bed a while ago and surfing the net. Figured this was as good a time as any to give a quick update of what's been going on around here. This past weekend was pretty uneventful except for when we went to some friends house on Friday night and played Guitar Hero World Tour (I totally rocked the Beastie Boys 'No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn) while the kids played with each other. Well, at the end of the night when we were hoarse from singing and laughing we gathered up the kids and Austin's eye was pink and goopy. We get him home and sure enough, it's pink eye. Well, we've been lucky it hasn't spread to anyone else. I had it as a kid and it was the worst! My eye was always hurting and extra goopy. I'm not talking little eye boogers here. I'm talking full scale assault on my eye. I couldn't open then in the morning because they were caked. Nasty and probably a little too graphic for some, but that's how it was. I'm so thankful Austin hasn't had that. He said they hurt some, but that's about it. So he's missed church, preschool and not been able to go to the daycare so far, but he's doing a lot better and it's almost cleared up. That's about it for this post. Sorry it wasn't more exciting. I really will try to do better and get more pics up soon.

Happy Valentine's Day
About the only way Austin will give anyone a kiss these days is if he has these fake lips in his mouth. They thought they were pretty fun to play with. I think they thought their mom was crazy when she asked them to give each other a kiss.
Carter giving his webkinz some good loves.
Kaylee had silly glasses day at school. These are the ones she picked.
Seth and Jess at a Jazz game. It was pretty awesome to sit in a suite. I think we gained 5 pounds though. So much for the diet.
All bundled up to go outside in the freezing cold. Do you like the socks on his hands???
Sledding, Sledding, and more sledding.

The Happiest Place On Earth
Tuesday, December 30, 2008
Hello stranger.
Well, once again it's been a while. It's the day before New Year's Eve and I was thinking about goals and resolutions for the upcoming year. I'm a big goals guy. I may not reach all of them when I want, but if I hadn't set them in the first place I wouldn't even be close to achieving them. If that challenge is in front of me then it drives me a little more. Anyway, one of my goals is to do better with our blog. My parents are out here visiting for the holidays and they said they miss seeing pics of the kids. Nope, not me or Jess, but the grandkids. I feel kinda bad depriving them of our children's beauty so I'm back on the wagon. I will be blogging on a much more regular basis. Thanks to all of you who continually check our blog just to find the same post time after time. I hope to bring more joy to your lives when you actually visit our blog and you see something different. Not that the blog itself will be entertaining or worthwhile, but at least it will be different than the same picture of Carter drinking a bottle with his feet up on his high chair. It's cute, but you can only take so much cute, right? Okay, I'm off to work again and will be gathering thoughts, goals and pictures to add in the next day or two. Talk to you soon!!!

Carter, Carter, Carter...and some
Carter eating his bottle with his feet up.

We're finally starting to crawl. Only 11 months old, but who's counting?

Carter found a new favorite toy. Daddy is so proud.

All the kids playing together.

Carter standing...kind of

I left the kitchen for a minute, and when I came back every cupboard and drawer was opened. That's Kaylee for you.

Kaylee ready for soccer practice.

Mommy and Austin

Daddy and Kaylee

Who's ready for snow? My kids are. They were asking to go play in the snow from the second they woke up and saw it outside.

Who's ready for Halloween? Again...my kids are!!!

1st time for everything
Austin's first day of preschool. He was so excited to bring the sharing bag

Kaylee's first soccer game. I think she was more concerned about her uniform than she was about the game.

She bounces more than she runs.

Austin started karate. He loves doing this move right here.

Cute Carter

Kaylee and Austin patiently reading and waiting for mom and dad to get ready for church

Lounging on the couch with Grandma

Kaylee and Austin pretending to play the drums

Carter had his own drum, or tupperware that he was banging on his highchair.

Pretty cute kids if I do say so myself. I might be a little biased.

Going Private
Well, it seems to be what a lot of my friends are doing lately and I think we're to that point also. We're setting our blog to private soon and wanted to let everyone know. If you'd still like to be able to view our blog, please send me an email at sethdouglasprice@yahoo.com. I'll keep it public for one more week so hopefully all our friends/family see this beforehand. We'll go private next week sometime. I think you can still ask for permission to see the blog after it goes private, but I still wanted to give everyone a heads up. Hope everyone is doing well.

Enjoying the sunshine
Since this warm weather is almost a thing of the past, I thought I'd post the rest of our pictures from the summer. Maybe if we didn't take so many pictures, I wouldn't feel like we were always behind on blogging. Well here we go...
Kaylee doing Aunt Liza's hair for her...she's already following in her mothers footsteps.
Carter had his first ice cream sandwich. He wouldn't let me pull it away for a second. HE LOVED IT!
Austin has a habit of walking around the house in the middle of the night. We usually call out from the comfort of our own bed, "Austin get back in bed." He just goes back into his room and closes the door and gets back in bed. One morning this is what we walked into. He must have remade his bed in the middle of the night...on the floor.
We went out on the boat while Heath and Liza were here. We had a great time and here are a few pics from that trip.

Austin really wanted to drive the boat.

Grandpa and the boys
Seth trying to get a hummingbird to land on his finger

How cute are they?
Thanks to Becca for capturing these moments. She is the one who took the last 5 pictures.
Austin was sooooo ready to go to preschool. This is right before his preschool orientation.
Kaylee keeps saying she wants a baby sister. Here she is going for second best. Just dress up your brother as a girl. You can only imagine how much Seth loves this picture. Well that's all for now, but keep checking in. Seth has been so busy, so I have decided the only way to catch up is to do these pictures myself. Then I saw his 101 blog and I think he has entirely too much time on his hands. What should I ask him to do around the house???
