Tis the season....basketball season!!!

That's right folks. The 2007-2008 NBA season has begun and I'm all over it. Who better to put on my layout than the man himself, Michael Jordan.

The only sport I might love more than NBA basketball is college basketball. I love everything about basketball. Playing it, watching it, analyzing it, writing about it, dreaming about it, playing fantasy basketball, the playoffs, the shoes, march madness, rivalries, 5 on 5, 3 on 3, full court, half court, it doesn't matter, I love it all.

I may sound a bit out there right now and I probably am because I'm so excited it's the start of the season, but it's hard not to get excited when North Carolina (my favorite sports team of all time) is ranked #1 in the college preseason polls.

Also, the Jazz (who I have started rooting for the last few years since Karl Malone and John Stockton are gone) are becoming serious contenders and Jess and I will be going to several games this season.

However, my heart remains to be with the L.A. Lakers when it comes down to it. I may not like all the players, but I have to be loyal.

Anyway, I decided to change my layout to match the season. Most people are thinking about Thanksgiving, but I'm thinking of how thankful I am for basketball. I met most of my best friends while playing basketball. It brought us together and formed a brotherhood, even if we don't like the same teams. We keep in touch by playing fantasy basketball and it brings back old memories of running fools off the court and talking trash. Now I'm a few steps slower and quite a bit heavier, but it's still fun to run the court.

I too love the sport. But not as much as you, however. Micheal Jordan is still the best, I do agree with you on that one.

David and I went to a Ducks hockey game on Monday night. It was awesome. It was my first one but I am hooked. We got our butts kicked but there were quite a few fights so it was all worth it. We were 3 rows from the glass. I love sports. Evpecially live.
